The Story of Arcana City

Though the official founder of the city is somewhat unknown, it is most commonly believed that it was Viktor Mlendeva and several of his friends were the founders. Arcana began as a small town that gradually became larger as more and more people moved to the area to escape persecution by the humans. The town eventually had enough people to be considered a city, and was in the process of being industrialized when Viktor and his wife were assassinated while on their way to the Capitol. His two children were left under the care of their Aunt and were taken into the family's manor, never to be seen for many years. Just weeks after the assassination, another man rose into power and began a reign of oppression on the entire city-- the rich AND the poor. After many failed attempts, the people were finally able to revolt against him some three hundred years later. This was the only time both classes worked together, as it was soon realized that the revolution fell under the rich's favor. Now, with a very divided social structure that is under a lot of tension and the fight to see who will be the new leader, there is even more tension.
